Leicester Crown Court – Acquitted
After a five week trial before Leicester Crown Court Ms Spragg was acquitted of allegedly harassing Kate and Gerry McCann, the parents of Madeleine McCann.

Swansea crown court – Acquitted of Fraudulent Trading.
Dr Mosescu was accused of being a party to a business called ‘Doctors on Wheels that was concerned with conducting thousands of medical assessments for drivers applying for a Group 2 driving licence from the DVLA. Dr Mosescu denied that he was acting dishonestly at the time, despite admitting both in interview and in evidence that, looking back with the benefit of hindsight, the business processes were dishonest. The case was involved substantial quantities of evidence and required tactical decisions about character evidence, including that adduced by a co-defendant. Dr Mosescu was unanimously acquitted after a 7-week trial at Swansea Crown Court. Swansea Trading Standards prosecuted Dr Mosescu for an offence of fraudulent trading contrary to s.993 of the Companies Act 2003, alongside the company’s boss, one other doctor who joined in 2018, and 3 nurses.

Luton Crown Court - Acquitted
Michael Robinson was a Police Sergeant in the Bedfordshire police. He was charged with the sexual assault of two paramedics after he was found lying in the street with a head injury. After instructing a Neurologist to examine Mr Robinson and serving the expert report on the prosecution, no evidence was offered just before the trial was due to commence. Not guilty verdicts were recorded.

Mr Meanwell initially pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary having entered a property and burgled it. He was later charged with manslaughter after a review by the prosecution. That was on the basis that a fellow burglar was killed during the raid on the mobile home in Nottinghamshire. Mr Meanwell was found guilty, but the case involved a very novel and complex issue of law. The case has been appealed.

This was a conspiracy to defraud case before Birmingham Crown Court, where the trial was listed for July 2026.
The case alleged that our client and others conspired to defraud Birmingham City Council, its agents and ratepayers by making unauthorised collections of waste from the premises of a Birmingham-based concrete company, before disposing of it at refuse sites operated on behalf of the council. It is further alleged that the waste was passed off as legitimate material fit for processing under a commercial waste contract.
The case raised complex issues around waste regulation, contractual obligations and the alleged financial impact on the council and its ratepayers.

Operation Megatron, a significant firearms conspiracy case that was on trial at Nottingham Crown Court.
The case was an East Midlands Special Operations Unit investigation into the alleged conversion of blank firing and antique or obsolete firearms into viable, deadly weapons, and their subsequent supply to criminal groups across Nottingham and the wider UK. Our client faced charges of conspiracy to possess firearms with intent to endanger life and conspiracy to convert blank firing guns into functioning firearms.
The investigation reflected the growing concern amongst law enforcement around the accessibility of converted weapons and their role in serious organised crime.

Central Criminal Court
Danyal Hussein, 19, killed sisters Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman in a park in Wembley, North London, in June 2020. He was active on an occult forum run by American EA Koetting - whose writings have encouraged murder - until hours before his arrest, the BBC revealed. Police found a handwritten note signed in his blood that promised to "sacrifice" women in exchange for winning the lottery.

Terrorism case involving who was once believed to be the world’s most wanted cyber -jihadist, and described at the time as the ‘undisputed king of internet terrorism,’ Mr Tsouli was said to have provided a link to core al-Qaeda, to the heart of al-Qaeda, and the wider network that he was linking into through the internet," (Peter Clarke, the head of the Metropolitan Police counter-terrorism command.)

Court of Appeal
The appeal of Raymond Betson, one of three men who plotted the biggest gem heist in UK history claiming the judge fell asleep during their trial. Mr Betson had been convicted of conspiracy to rob after trying to steal £200m of diamonds from London's Millennium Dome. Judge Coombe admitted falling asleep but denied snoring loudly

This high profile case concerned the deaths of 39 Vietnamese migrants found in a lorry trailer in Essex. The Vietnamese men, women and children were discovered suffocated on 23 October, 2019, on Eastern Avenue in Grays in Essex.

David Wells was instructed by the family to go to Kuala Lumpur to investigate the suspicious death of Ivana Smith, 18, who was a Dutch national who had worked as a model for many years. The circumstances of her tragic death remain a mystery. Ms Smith fell to her death naked from a balcony 20 floors high, reportedly after going home to the apartment with a couple after a party. Her parents were told by police there was no crime suspected, though investigations are still continuing. Following a review of the case, a report was submitted and an inquest followed which set aside the police conclusions that Ms Smith’s death was not suspicious.
