DWK instructed in major firearms conspiracy trial

R v QI & others | Operation Megatron | Nottingham Crown Court

DWK Solicitors have recently been instructed in Operation Megatron, a significant firearms conspiracy case currently on trial at Nottingham Crown Court.

The case is an East Midlands Special Operations Unit investigation into the alleged conversion of blank firing and antique or obsolete firearms into viable, deadly weapons, and their subsequent supply to criminal groups across Nottingham and the wider UK. Our client faces charges of conspiracy to possess firearms with intent to endanger life and conspiracy to convert blank firing guns into functioning firearms.

The investigation reflects the growing concern amongst law enforcement around the accessibility of converted weapons and their role in serious organised crime.
